We Did the Unexpected – Spring Virtual Auction 2023
Our Spring Virtual Auction has officially come to a close. We had so much fun doing some friendly bidding on great items while raising funds to support our Emergency Fund for our low-income students experiencing crises. This year, we set a goal to raise $3,000 at our auction. We are proud to announce that we have surpassed our goal, earning over $3,900 for our Emergency Fund!
As you may know, our Emergency Fund is 100% sustained by donations from our wonderful donors. Around 80% of our students live in low-income households and are left vulnerable during unexpected life changes like job loss, housing and transportation changes, and lack of access to basic needs. Those unexpected moments, as well as their social and emotional challenges, further jeopardize our students’ health, mental wellbeing, and presence in the classroom.
Each contribution you’ve made helps give relief to our students and families during times of crisis. Thank you for giving our students the stability they need to succeed! We’re also incredibly grateful to the businesses, as well as our community partners, staff, and Board of Directors for generously providing amazing gifts, making lovely baskets, and spreading the word about our auction. We are continuously moved by your generosity and the various ways in which you support our students. Thank you for helping us make our auction a success!
If you missed the auction but would still like to support our low-income families at the Spring Virtual Auction, you can fund one of their essential needs here: https://tinyurl.com/4ymb8dzt Fund-a-need donations end on Friday 5/5 at 10:00 PM. Don’t miss out on your chance to give our families in need access to important resources like public transportation, groceries, and gas.
