Be a part of history and help establish The Foundation Learning Center High School, for students with autism, during our annual Spring Virtual Auction. This exciting online event, held April 20-24, 2026, will outfit the new school located on Brightseat Road, Landover, Maryland, including our classrooms and therapeutic spaces, preparing our community's next generation to grow into healthy and happy adults.

Our Story

Our current autism school, The Foundation Learning Center, opened in Fall 2019, serving students in five K-8 classrooms. Today, we proudly serve more than 60 students in ten K-12 classrooms and run a comprehensive program of wrap-around services, including home and family support and life skills development activities. This growth reflects our trusted relationships with our referring local school systems, including Prince George’s and Montgomery County Public Schools, and the need for expanded school services for students with autism as the rate of diagnosis continues to climb. In Maryland, the diagnosis rate of autism among eight-year-olds has increased, from one in every 44 children in 2018 to one in every 36 children in 2020 (CDC, 2023). Supporting this growing vulnerable student population, we are proud to expand into The Foundation Learning Center High School, catering services specific to students with autism emerging into adulthood.

How to Help

Delivering specialized learning and mental health services, career, transition, and life skills programming, and holistic care to both students and families is what sets The Foundation Schools apart.
