The 2022 Back to School Drive is off to a great start! We’ve received a number of in demand items like backpacks, notebooks, socks, pencils, and more. Thank you to all the donors like Mastermind Professional Development, St. Barnabas Church, and several more who are making the Back to School Drive such a success!
Our schools are mitigating the effects of learning loss created during the pandemic, which nationwidegreatly affected students from low-income families and those with disabilities. Did you know that according to McKinney and Company, lacking adequate resources for school such as laptops, high speed internet, food & clothes can set students back more than a year academically?
Our students with emotional disabilities and autism, 80% of which qualify for reduced-price meals, faced similar obstacles during the pandemic, which is why our passionate staff create fundraising opportunities like this to better support them. We are thankful for the contributions we have received so far and are looking forward to building back better!
