And the winner is… The Foundation Schools!

On Thursday 9/12, The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) held their annual “Picnic with a Purpose” at Smokey Glen Barbequers, Inc. Each year, the GGCC selects one non-profit organization as “Non-Profit of the Year.” This year, The Foundation Schools is the proud recipient of the “2024 Non-Profit Organization of the Year” award. The highly competitive selection process strongly scored our 50 years of impact to the local community, recognizing our commitment to developing our community’s future leaders, our partnership with our students and their families to address their unique needs, and our long-standing organizational history and financial responsibility. Our whole-child approach ensures that our students and their families heal together. Despite the challenging days, our staff members are fully committed to the mission of serving the students. This award is a physical reminder to the entire Foundations Schools community that all our hard work is not going unnoticed.
