Each year, our management team in each program carefully selects staff members who have done outstanding work demonstrating skills that advance their team and contribute to our students’ success. The Core Value Award recognizes staff members who echo our core values: Teamwork, Work Ethic, Integrity, Respect, and Leadership. A huge congratulations to our 2025 Core Value Award winners!

Precious Hart, Administrative Assistant at The Foundation School in Largo High School

Ms. Precious Hart is truly exceptional. A proactive and dedicated self-starter, she consistently completes tasks ahead of schedule with excellence. Her creativity transforms ideas into masterpieces, and her organization keeps the team focused on long-term goals. With a clear vision for student success, she motivates staff and leads projects like hallway beautification so well that students protect her work with pride.

She also co-leads event planning, builds strong relationships with families, and supports students in and out of the classroom. More than just an administrative assistant, Ms. Precious brings energy, care, and brilliance to everything she does. Thank you for twirling with greatness every day!

Tracey Henderson, Teacher at The Foundation Learning Center

Ms. Tracey Henderson embodies the spirit of Foundation Learning Center through her unwavering dedication to students and staff. She goes above and beyond, decorating halls, organizing raffles, and leading the Cool Prints internship, often using her own time and resources to spread joy and creativity. Her classroom is a nurturing space where students gain real-world experience and feel truly cared for.

Known for her grace, patience, and positivity. Ms. Tracey is the go-to person for support and inspiration, always working behind the scenes to ensure success without seeking recognition. She lives out TWIRL every single day.

Cheryl Roberts-Samsingh, Therapist at The Foundation School in Largo

Ms. Cheryl is a dependable and conscientious therapist who continuously puts the needs of the students first.  She can meet the needs of her students during both scheduled and unscheduled therapy sessions.  When she is asked to take on additional tasks, Cheryl tackles these challenges without complaint and with a high degree of professional diligence. Cheryl is always willing to mentor new therapists and also has an attentive ear for her colleagues.

Ms. Cheryl is a compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated therapist who believes that every child is capable of growing and learning. That belief is demonstrated each day she is in our program. She is the ultimate team player and often exceeds expectations of her responsibilities. Ms. Cheryl is a valuable member of our school community and has been an unspoken mentor to countless staff members.

Kayla Williams, Teacher at The Foundation School of Montgomery County

Ms. Kayla Williams has truly embodied our core values throughout the 2024-2025 school year, bringing energy, creativity, and dedication to everything she does. Her impact has been felt school-wide. She keeps both students and staff actively engaged through dynamic, meaningful experiences that spark learning and growth. As the leader of the Student Socials Committee, she organized engaging biweekly events that gave students the chance to connect and explore beyond the classroom.

Ms. Williams goes above and beyond to celebrate the achievements of both students and staff ensuring that hard work never goes unnoticed. Her commitment to learning extended far beyond the classroom, as she regularly organized academic field trips that brought lessons to life. She consistently delivers excellence and inspires those around her to do the same.
