Programs

The Foundation Schools provides a highly specialized educational and therapeutic program for children and adolescents in grades 1-12 with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities. We operate two campuses that serve students from throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area - The Foundation School (of Prince George's County) in Largo, MD and The Foundation School of Montgomery County in Gaithersburg, MD.
Our Programs provide the following for our students:
  • Special Education and Clinical services designed to meet the diverse needs of students through the implementation of the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
  • Career transition planning for the world of work, technology education and guidance counseling for post secondary education
  • Extracurricular activities and specialized educational experiences
  • Participation in local athletic leagues including Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball
  • Foundation LINKS - Wrap around and outreach programs including home visits 
  • Clinical Intervention Program
  • Clinical Services
  • Individual and Group Counseling
  • Psychiatric consultation
  • Case Management Services
  • Peer mediation and conflict resolution
  • Bully Task Force
  • Another Path - Drug and alcohol education, prevention, and counseling
