The Foundation Schools

On Tuesday, The Foundation School in Largo had a special visit from a former student and valedictorian at his 8th grade graduation. Tahrique spoke to three classes in the middle school and students from the high school. He shared his struggles, challenges, and successes while at The Foundation School, in foster care, at Bowie High School, in college at Cal State, and in the workforce. Tahrique had great advice for the students: "Strive high and always do your best. Don't let anyone or anything pull you down."

Tahrique has been a chef on a cruise ship in Oregon for the past year and is headed to Colorado to be a chef at a ski resort. He is combining his love for cooking with his love of travelling and living in new places. The Foundation Schools is so proud of Tahrique!
