Foundation School Library Services

The media center and its collection exist to enrich, support and supplement the curriculum of the Foundation School. The media center maintains a collection that is both multiethnic and multimedia in nature. It supports students’ individual educational plans which include diverse emotional needs and learning styles.

The media program assists students and staff with identifying, locating, evaluating and using needed materials in a variety of formats. The curricular, informational and recreational reading and literacy needs of the students and staff are a priority at the media center.

In addition, the program works to develop positive attitudes and appropriate knowledge of school media centers, public libraries and other information sources that will promote lifelong learning in the lives of our students.
