Foundation Families

The Foundation Schools are indepent, non-profit schools for special education in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. We have schools in Prince Georges County, Maryland and Montgomery County, Maryland serving numerous counties in Maryland and the District of Columbia. We serve students diagnosed with emotional disabilities. Click here to learn more about our Admissions process.

We have a variety of programs in place to best serve the emotional and educational needs of our student population. Click here to learn about the many programs here at Foundation Schools.

The Foundation Schools are committed to creating and maintaining a physically and emotionally safe school environment as this is essential for every child to learn, achieve academically and develop socially. If you or your child feels the need to report an incident of bullying, harassment or intimidation, you can call the school or your child’s therapist and you will be given instructions and the forms that need to be completed. Staff will provide any assistance required to complete the reporting form.

Some of our students may be referred to our Foundation LINKS program, a wrap around service designed to provide additional support outside of school to our students and their families. Click here to learn more about Foundation LINKS.
